FIU men’s basketball senior forward Corey Stephenson was named the East All-Stars Most Valuable Player in the Reese’s Collegiate All-Star Game on April 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium, which hosted the Final Four.
Stephenson led the East team with 22 points, making nine field goals—including four three-pointers—and collecting seven rebounds. He was the first player from FIU to be invited to this event.
This recognition comes after a season where Stephenson scored a total of 559 points for FIU, leading his team and achieving an average of 18.0 points per game. His performance this year earned him a spot on the All-Conference Second Team and marked him as having scored the fifth-most points in school history.
Stephenson is also noted as being only the 11th Conference USA player to participate in this all-star event, joining Liberty University’s Zach Cleveland for this year’s game.
The achievement highlights both individual excellence and broader recognition for FIU men’s basketball within collegiate athletics.
