FIU’s softball program earned five selections to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams, as announced on May 26.
Kendall Catherwood, Leah Clark, Paige Miller, Brooke McNichols and Kally Meredith were each recognized for their achievements both on the field and in the classroom this season. Catherwood started in 51 games as an outfielder for the Panthers and graduated in the spring with a 3.85 GPA as a marketing major. She batted .265 in her senior season with 35 hits and also received recognition on the 2025-26 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, along with earning Academic Medal Status.
Clark, a junior with a 3.87 GPA in marketing, started in 51 games for FIU as a middle infielder and earned Second Team All-Conference USA status. She led the league with 28 stolen bases while batting .340 with 53 hits. Miller holds a 3.79 GPA in marketing & international business and started in 50 games at third base, recording career highs of 47 total hits and 18 runs batted in.
McNichols graduated with a 3.61 GPA as a criminal justice major after making twelve starts during her senior season and posting a team-best earned run average of 2.93, along with seven complete games pitched. Meredith maintains a team-high GPA of 3.98 in psychology (certificate in team management) while leading Conference USA offensively; she posted league-leading marks of 80 hits and a .457 batting average during her junior campaign, earning First Team All-Conference USA honors.
