María Elvira Salazar, a U.S. Congress member representing Florida’s 27th district since 2021, shared her viewpoints on political regimes in Latin America through a series of tweets on Twitter.

On April 7, 2025, Salazar made a call for continued efforts against the Venezuelan regime. She stated, “We can’t stop fighting until the brutal Maduro regime falls and power is returned to the people!”

In another statement shared at the same time, Salazar reiterated her position, this time in Spanish, emphasizing the need for persistence until change is achieved in Venezuela. She wrote, “¡Debemos seguir luchando hasta que caiga el régimen brutal de Maduro y el poder regrese al pueblo!”

Later that day, Salazar turned her attention to Cuba, condemning the current government for its alleged practices. Asserting the exploitation of Cuban citizens, she wrote, “The Cuban regime forces its people into slavery. End the exploitation—now!”
