Florida Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar recently shared key legislative initiatives and advocacies via a series of tweets. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021, Salazar represents Florida’s 27th district, and her legislative focus often highlights immigration reform and protection for vulnerable individuals.

On April 6, 2025, Salazar expressed gratitude to the Problem Solvers Caucus for their endorsement of her bill with the following sentiment: “¡Gracias al Caucus de Solucionadores de Problemas por apoyar mi proyecto de ley! La ley TAKE IT DOWN dará una protección real a las víctimas de la explotación en línea. ¡Se acabaron las excusas: si explotas a un niño inocente, enfrentarás la cárcel!” This bill, named TAKE IT DOWN, aims to provide substantial legal protection to victims of online exploitation.

In another tweet posted on April 6, 2025, Salazar addressed issues related to the immigrant population, stating: “Now that the border is secure, we need to address immigrants who’ve been here for over a decade, have no criminal records, and are contributing to our country. They deserve the chance to live with dignity. This will make America stronger AND grow our economy!” She emphasizes the importance of providing these immigrants, who have a history of contributing to the United States, the opportunity to live with dignity within the country.

The Congresswoman reiterated this sentiment in Spanish in a subsequent tweet, also on April 6, 2025, emphasizing the security of the border and the dignity of immigrants: “Ahora que la frontera está segura, debemos atender a los migrantes que llevan más de una década en el país, que no tienen antecedentes penales y que contribuyen a nuestra nación. Ellos merecen la oportunidad de vivir con dignidad. ¡Esto hará que E.E.U.U sea más fuerte y “
