Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district, recently expressed her views on various topics through social media posts. These posts cover significant political events and personal acknowledgments.

On June 14, 2025, Rep. Salazar addressed a politically motivated attack in Minnesota. She stated, “I am horrified by the tragic, politically motivated attack on Minnesota state lawmakers.” She emphasized that there is no place for political violence in society and called for a rejection of hate and extremism. Her thoughts were with the victims and their families.

The following day, June 15, 2025, she took to social media to celebrate Father’s Day. She posted a message honoring fathers as everyday heroes who lead with love and strength: “Happy Father’s Day to the everyday heroes who lead with love, strength, and sacrifice.”

On June 16, 2025, Rep. Salazar commented on international relations by affirming her support for Israel amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. She wrote: “Now more than ever, the United States’ support for Israel must be clear and unwavering.” She backed Israel’s Operation Rising Lion as a justified response to attacks and threats.

María Elvira Salazar has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Donna Shalala. Born in Miami in 1961, she holds a BA from the University of Miami.
