Rep. María Elvira Salazar, who represents Florida’s 27th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and opportunities for constituents.

On July 25, Salazar addressed immigration reform efforts through the DIGNITY Act of 2025. She wrote, “The DIGNITY Act of 2025 fixes our immigration mess. No amnesty. No federal benefits. No citizenship. Just border security, mandatory E-Verify, and Dignity. A final fix that is good for America, with zero cost to taxpayers.”
María Elvira Salazar has served in Congress since replacing Donna Shalala in 2021 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Miami in 1961 and currently residing there at age 61, Salazar graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983.
