Five athletes from the University of Miami track and field team, along with the men’s 4×400 relay squad, have qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled for March 13–14 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Ace Malone and Tania Da Silva, both Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) champions, secured their spots in the 400 meters and weight throw events. Kennedy Sauder, who earned an ACC silver medal, will compete in his third NCAA appearance in the high jump. Edgar Campre returns to the heptathlon for a second consecutive year. Natalie Varela is set to make her debut at the championships in the 800 meters.
The men’s 4×400 relay team—consisting of Sean Watkins, George Franks, Dominique Hall and Malone—qualified after breaking the ACC record with a time of 3:04.11.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will be available via live stream on ESPN+.
