Miami Hurricanes set new record with 19 All-ACC football selections

Nineteen players from the University of Miami football team have been named to the All-ACC teams, setting a new program record for the second consecutive year. The Atlantic Coast Conference made the announcement on Tuesday.

Four Miami players received First Team honors: wide receiver Malachi Toney, defensive linemen Rueben Bain and Akheem Mesidor, and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa.

Five Hurricanes were selected for the Second Team: defensive lineman Ahmad Moten Sr., defensive back Keionte Scott, all-purpose player Malachi Toney, defensive back Jakobe Thomas, and offensive lineman Anez Cooper.

Quarterback Carson Beck, offensive linemen James Brockermeyer and Markel Bell, linebacker Wesley Bissainthe, and running back Mark Fletcher Jr. were chosen for the Third Team.

Five other players earned Honorable Mention status: linebacker Mohammad Toure, defensive backs Zechariah Poyser and Damari Brown, wide receiver Keelan Marion, and defensive lineman David Blay Jr.

Malachi Toney was recognized at two positions—First Team wide receiver and Second Team all-purpose.
