The University of Miami men’s basketball team achieved its tenth consecutive victory with an 81-69 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday night at the Purcell Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana.
This result brings Miami’s season record to 15-2 and marks a 4-0 start in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play for the first time since the 2022-23 season.
The game was closely contested in the first half, ending in a 39-39 tie. Miami led by as many as seven points before Notre Dame narrowed the gap late in the half.
In the second half, Miami opened with a strong 13-1 run to take a 52-40 lead. Tre Donaldson contributed seven points during this stretch with two layups and a three-pointer from the corner. The Hurricanes extended their advantage to as much as 13 points when Shelton Henderson made a step-back three-pointer with just over four minutes remaining.
Donaldson finished with a team-high 23 points and surpassed 1,000 career points. This performance marked his third straight game scoring at least 20 points. Malik Reneau recorded his fifth double-double of the season, tallying 17 points, ten rebounds, and five steals.
Henderson added another 17 points while Dante Allen provided support off the bench with eleven points. As a team, Miami collected thirteen steals and outscored Notre Dame in the paint by twelve points.
Miami will continue its road schedule against Clemson on Saturday at 2:15 p.m., with television coverage available on The CW and radio broadcast locally on 560 AM WQAM.
