U.S. Representative María Elvira Salazar, who represents Florida’s 27th district in Congress, announced the introduction of the Dignity Act of 2025 through a series of posts on her social media accounts on July 15 and 16, 2025. The legislation is described as a significant bipartisan immigration reform effort.

Later that day, she added: “Today’s the day I’ve been working toward for years: we introduced the new and improved Dignity Act of 2025. It’s been nonstop between media, press conferences, calls etc. but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you all for this opportunity! https://t.co/hJAdnbuTJI”.

On July 16, Salazar referenced her appearance on national television to discuss the bill: “I joined NBC’s Meet the Press yesterday to talk about the Dignity Act of 2025, the groundbreaking immigration proposal I introduced yesterday. It’s time to do what is right for our economy and our security as a nation. Immigration is the top issue facing our country and https://t.co/YCZrKVOAQm”.
