Rep. María Elvira Salazar has recently shared her perspective on key issues impacting her constituents and the wider region through a series of tweets. Addressing challenges facing Cuban immigrants and the potential for regional prosperity, Salazar articulates her commitment to these matters on her social media platform.

On April 14, 2025, Rep. Salazar highlighted her ongoing dedication to securing a solution for Cubans with I-220A, criticizing current policies by stating, “For years, I’ve been committed to securing a solution for the thousands of Cubans with I-220A. The Biden administration did nothing. Our people deserve better!”

Following up on April 15, 2025, she discussed economic potential within the Western Hemisphere, stating, “The Western Hemisphere is full of opportunity. By partnering with Latin America and the Caribbean, we can unlock a new golden age of prosperity for Miami, the United States, and the region!” Her subsequent tweet, delivered at almost the same time, reiterated the sentiment in Spanish: “El hemisferio occidental está lleno de oportunidades. Al asociarnos con América Latina y el Caribe, podemos abrir una nueva era dorada de prosperidad para Miami, los Estados Unidos y toda la región.”
