Rep. María Elvira Salazar, the U.S. Congress representative for Florida’s 27th district, has been actively engaging with her community and offering support to both local events and international causes through her social media channels.

On April 15, 2025, Salazar expressed her appreciation for local art students. “¡Gracias a todos los increíbles artistas estudiantes de FL-27 que presentaron trabajos para la Competencia de Arte!” She congratulated Gabriella López from Mast Academy for her artwork titled “La vida en la Calle Ocho,” which will represent the district in the Cannon tunnels of the Capitol.

Later that evening, Salazar highlighted an upcoming baseball event in Miami. ” Local Event Spotlight ,” she stated, referring to the Miami Marlins game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at LoanDepot Park, set to take place on the evening of April 15 and 16.

The following day, on April 16, 2025, Salazar commented on international politics, showing her support for María Corina Machado, a Venezuelan political leader. “Her courage and resilience make her Venezuela’s Iron Lady,” she remarked, acknowledging Machado’s efforts in providing hope for a free Venezuela.

María Elvira Salazar is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Florida’s 27th district.
