Miami, FL – On July 21, 2024, Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez called on President Joe Biden to resign from the Office of President of the United States. Rep. Gimenez held a press conference at Miami International Airport to discuss Biden's recent announcement.
"If Joe Biden isn't capable enough to seek re-election, he's not capable enough to remain serving as our President," said Rep. Gimenez. "President Biden does not have the capacity to be the President of the United States. Our enemies are seeing this, and it puts America at risk. America is less safe than ever before because Biden has proven to be a weak leader. For the good of the country, Joe Biden should step down and resign."
Congressman Carlos Giménez represents Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys. He is noted for being the first career firefighter paramedic elected to the House of Representatives and has previously served as Fire Chief of the City of Miami and Mayor of Miami-Dade County. He currently serves as Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, as well as a member of both the Armed Services Committee and the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party.
