U.S. Representatives Carlos A. Giménez, Mario Díaz-Balart, and María Elvira Salazar have issued a statement regarding President Trump's recent policy change affecting Venezuela. They praised the decision to reverse the Biden-Harris Administration's actions concerning Venezuela's oil industry.
The representatives stated: "When it comes to defending the cause of freedom in illegitimate regimes like Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, there is no greater ally than President Donald J. Trump." They emphasized that President Trump is fulfilling his promise by ending policies they believe were supportive of hostile regimes.
According to their statement, President Trump's foreign policy focuses on national security in the Western Hemisphere by restoring strict U.S. policies towards Cuba and reinstating financial restrictions against its military regime.
The representatives commended President Trump for what they describe as decisive action and leadership, drawing comparisons to former President Reagan. "We commend President Trump for his principled clarity, swift and decisive action on this issue," they stated.
Congressman Carlos Giménez represents Miami-Dade County and parts of Florida Keys. He has a background as a firefighter paramedic and has served in various leadership roles including Fire Chief of Miami and Mayor of Miami-Dade County.
