María Elvira Salazar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district, has been vocal on social media about issues ranging from international security to achievements in space exploration. Her recent tweets reflect her strong stance on these matters.

On March 18, 2025, Salazar addressed concerns regarding Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his alleged actions involving migration to the United States. She claimed that "Maduro emptied jails and intentionally sent his Tren de Aragua cronies to the USA." She further described this as "WEAPONIZED MIGRATION" that has sparked a national security crisis while also pointing out the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela caused by Maduro's policies.

In a similar post on the same day, Salazar reiterated her claims in Spanish: "Maduro vació cárceles y envió a sus compinches del Tren de Aragua a EE. UU." Again, she emphasized that this action constitutes "MIGRACIÓN CONVERTIDA en un ARMA", calling for Maduro to take responsibility for what she describes as terrorist activities.

On March 20, 2025, Salazar turned her attention to domestic achievements by celebrating the return of Crew-9 astronauts. She expressed gratitude towards SpaceX for their role in safely bringing American astronauts back home and highlighted Florida's pivotal role in advancing space travel. She tweeted: "Welcome home, Crew-9! Thank you, @SpaceX, for safely bringing these American HEROES back."
