University of Miami basketball Hall of Famer Jack McClinton will participate in a three-point contest during halftime at the Miami men’s basketball game against Louisville this Saturday. The event aims to support Marcus Allen, who is currently battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The contest will follow the NBA All-Star format, featuring five ball racks positioned along the three-point line and a 90-second timer. For every successful shot, $100 will be donated to Allen’s GoFundMe by McClinton and his supporters.

McClinton said the purpose of the contest is “to raise awareness and provide support to Allen and his family.”

Known for his shooting ability, McClinton holds the second-highest career three-point field goal percentage in ACC history at 44%. He was also named to the All-ACC First Team twice during his time with the Hurricanes.

Tickets for Saturday’s regular season finale remain available for purchase online at www.miamihurricanes.com/tickets.
