City of Miami issued the following announcement on Aug. 27
The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will resume regular, every-other-week recycling collection services beginning next Tuesday, September 1st, 2020. Regular recycling services will resume on normal schedule. Residents should refer to their 2020 recycling calendar for collection days.
Possible Delays
Please note that due to the ongoing pandemic, there may be delays in collecting the blue bin. However, those blue bins will be serviced the following business day. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
As a friendly reminder, residents are asked to place their blue bin in front of their home the evening before collection day. All blue bins must be five feet away from all objects, including vehicles, mailboxes and light poles. No garbage is permitted in the blue bin.
Recycling Information
Residents are instructed to recycle only aluminum cans, paper, cardboard, and plastic and glass bottles in order to reduce contamination. Please be mindful that when non-recyclable garbage is deposited into the blue bin, the whole truck load may be rejected by the recycling processor and thus be transported to another disposal facility and treated as regular waste.
COVID-19 protective supplies, such as gloves and face masks, are not permitted in the blue bin.
Mini Dump Facility Hours
The Mini Dump Facility, located on 1290 N.W. 20th Street, will now be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proof of City of Miami residency is required.
