Baptist Health Care Corporation issued the following announcement on Mar. 23.
Today we join so many others in mourning the passing of James Franklin Vickery whose funeral service was held this afternoon at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. In our 71-year history, Baptist Health Care has had four chief executive officers. Mr. Vickery was the second, serving our organization in that leadership role from 1983 to 1999.
We offer our sincere condolences to his family, remember him fondly and honor his memory by continuing his legacy to bring groundbreaking care to the community he served so well.
