Christopher Columbus High School issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Columbus graduate and Reds Assistant Coach Cristian Pérez in Dubuque, Iowa. His team - the Cincinnati Reds - played in the 2022 MLB Field of Dreams game.
He was the youngest coach in the majors when he was appointed as assistant bullpen coach with responsibility for advance scouting before the 2019 season, when he was just 23.
