Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida's 27th district, recently shared her views on political regimes in Latin America through a series of tweets. Known for her critical stance on the governments of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, Salazar continues to express her opinions via social media.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Salazar tweeted: " ¡El @SecRubio tiene razón! Los regímenes cubano, venezolano y nicaragüense y la ideología fallida que representan solo han causado muerte y destrucción en nuestro Hemisferio." This statement underscores her alignment with Sen. Marco Rubio's criticisms of these governments.

The following day, February 6, 2025, she addressed Delcy Rodríguez with a tweet saying: "Hey, @delcyrodriguezv! Do you want your plane back? Leave Venezuela for good and we will give you a free one-way ticket to Moscow with your friends. Don’t forget your coat! " This message was delivered in English.

Shortly after the previous tweet on the same day and also directed at Delcy Rodríguez was another tweet in Spanish: "¡Hola @delcyrodriguezv! ¿Quieres que te devuelvan el avión? Vete de Venezuela para siempre y te regalaremos un pasaje de ida a Moscú con tus amigos. ¡No olvides tu abrigo! " Both tweets highlight Salazar's disapproval of the Venezuelan government and suggest exile as an option for its leaders.
