Salazar tweeted about her meeting with the Association des Industries d’Haïti, stating: "I had the chance to meet with the Association des Industries d’Haïti (@ADIHNews) to talk about the ways America can grow cooperation between our two countries." She emphasized the importance of renewing the HOPE/HELP program as a means to stabilize Haiti during its current crisis.
In another tweet posted later that day in French, she reiterated her engagement with Haitian industry representatives: "J’ai eu l’occasion de rencontrer l’Association des Industries d’Haïti afin de discuter des moyens par lesquels les États-Unis peuvent renforcer la coopération entre nos deux pays."
