On February 10, 2025, Rep. Salazar expressed support for former President Trump's trade policy, emphasizing its benefits for the United States. She stated, "El comercio con Estados Unidos es un privilegio, no un derecho." She further added that Trump's "America First" trade policy would promote national priorities abroad and enhance prosperity domestically.

On February 11, 2025, she posted about a meeting with Costa Rican officials in Washington D.C., highlighting the importance of the relationship between the two countries. She remarked that it was a pleasure to meet with Costa Rica's Foreign Minister Dr. Arnoldo André and the Ambassador at the U.S. Capitol. In her words: "Costa Rica is a critical ally of ours with remarkable resilience and a warm friendliness."

In another post on the same day, she reiterated her sentiments about Costa Rica in Spanish: "¡Fue un placer reunirme con el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Costa Rica, el Dr. Arnoldo André, y con la Embajadora..." She emphasized Costa Rica's significant role as an ally due to its notable resilience and warmth.
