Rep. María Elvira Salazar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district, has recently shared a series of tweets expressing her concerns about certain programs funded by USAID and the priorities of the Biden-Harris administration. The tweets reflect her stance on issues related to gender ideology and economic opportunities for vulnerable populations.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Salazar tweeted about Venezuelans fleeing their country only to arrive in Ecuador and receive USAID-funded programs that allegedly focus on converting them into drag queens.

Later that day, she posted another tweet emphasizing health initiatives with a patriotic tone: "Make America Healthy Again! "

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Salazar addressed the needs of native Guatemalans living in poverty, criticizing the allocation of U.S. taxpayer funds for sex change operations instead of economic opportunities. She commented: "Native Guatemalans, many living in poverty, need economic opportunity, not U.S. taxpayer-funded sex change operations. The priorities of USAID under Biden-Harris became completely ridiculous."
