Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district, recently shared her thoughts on significant occasions and initiatives via social media. Her posts reflect both a celebration of her state's history and her active involvement in legislative matters.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Salazar marked a milestone for Florida with a celebratory message. "Happy birthday, Florida! Today we celebrate 180 years since the Sunshine State was admitted into the Union. Our state has served as a beacon of hope and a launch pad for the American Dream for so many. It’s the honor of my life to serve Miami and our beautiful state of Florida!"

Following this post, she reiterated her sentiments in Spanish later that day. "¡Feliz cumpleaños, Florida! Hoy celebramos 180 años desde que el Estado del Sol fue admitido en la Unión. Nuestro estado ha servido como faro de esperanza y lugar para alcanzar el sueño americano. ¡Es el honor de mi vida servir a Miami y a nuestro hermoso estado de Florida!"

In another post on March 3, Rep. Salazar expressed her anticipation for an upcoming discussion with notable figures regarding legislative efforts against AI deepfakes. "I’m honored to be joining @FLOTUS Melania Trump and @SenTedCruz later today to discuss our TAKE IT DOWN Act. As a woman and the mother of two amazing daughters, this is personal to me. No child should ever have to face the humiliation of AI deepfakes."
