María Elvira Salazar, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 27th district, has been vocal on social media about her political stances and concerns. Her recent tweets reflect her perspectives on issues ranging from communism to international security threats.

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Salazar emphasized the importance of educating children about the history and impacts of communism. She stated: "Más de 100 millones de vidas se han perdido por los horrores del comunismo. Necesitamos LUCHAR contra el adoctrinamiento en nuestras escuelas y enseñar a nuestros hijos sobre la brutalidad del comunismo." In the same tweet, she expressed support for Senator Rick Scott's efforts in this regard.

Later that day, Salazar commented on international affairs, particularly addressing actions taken by former President Trump against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. She remarked: "I applaud President Trump’s attacks on the Houthi rebels in Yemen!" According to Salazar, these actions were necessary as "The Houthis are a terror group funded by Iran that have been attacking our ships and threatening our national security for too long."

Reiterating her stance in Spanish, Salazar wrote: "¡Aplaudo los ataques del presidente Trump contra los rebeldes hutíes en Yemen!" She described the Houthis as "terroristas financiados por Irán," emphasizing their threat to national security through acts of piracy and violence.
