Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district, has been vocal on social media about her legislative efforts and political stance regarding communism and the Cuban government. Her recent tweets highlight her concerns about youth perceptions of communism and her commitment to opposing the Cuban regime.

On March 20, 2025, Rep. Salazar expressed concern over young people's beliefs regarding communism and American foundational documents.

The following day, March 21, 2025, she tweeted about her ongoing opposition to the Cuban government. She emphasized the experiences of her constituents with the Cuban dictatorship by stating, "My constituents know first hand the cruelty and brutality of the Cuban dictatorship. That’s why I will never stop fighting for a free Cuba! I will always stand unafraid and loudly against the evil Castro/Díaz-Canel regime!"

In a similar tweet posted shortly after in Spanish on March 21, 2025, she reiterated her position against the Cuban regime: "Mis electores conocen de primera mano la crueldad y brutalidad de la dictadura cubana.
