On April 16, 2025, Rep. Salazar expressed concern over the actions of the Cuban regime, focusing on the treatment of José Daniel Ferrer and his humanitarian work. "The Cuban regime’s terror knows no bounds. The attacks on José Daniel Ferrer and his humanitarian operation show what we all know: the regime fears any organization it cannot control." These remarks highlight ongoing tensions and the challenges faced by individuals and organizations in Cuba outside the government's influence.

Moving to domestic matters, on April 17, 2025, Salazar announced her co-sponsorship of a bill aimed at providing tax relief for small businesses. "The health of our communities depends on the well-being of our small businesses. That’s why I am co-sponsoring the Main Street Certainty Act to give them the tax relief they deserve."
