Silver Palm United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on Aug. 02.

Our Silver Palm family has been dedicated to reducing the spread of Covid-19. This new Delta Variant is even more aggressive, therefore we have instituted masks and social distancing while inside the any room on our campus. This will help protect all of us especially the most vulnerable among us. We are praying for those who have been affected by the virus. You may receive the vaccine at Silver Palm on August 4th and 14th from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Second doses will be offered as well. No appointment necessary.

We received the following update from Bishop Carter’s office

Updated Florida Conference COVID Guidance - July 29, 2021

We wrote last week and shared our concerns about the rising COVID-19 cases in Florida.  We write again this week because of the continued increase of infections and the updated CDC guidelines related to masks.  Please factor these two realities into your ongoing leadership conversations and decisions.  We ask pastors and church leaders to take the current reality in Florida seriously and adjust your expectations for ministry as we continue to  navigate this season together.  We urge the use of masks in indoor settings, as an expression of our love for our neighbor and as the fulfillment of the law of Christ (Galatians 5:14).

Together we can keep each other as safe as possible.

Blessings,

Pastor Nelson Bonilla
