Rep. Carlos Gimenez, Cuban Exiles to Hold Press Conference on Cuba Crisis

MIAMI, FL - In response to the massive anti-regime protests in Cuba on March 17, a press conference on the crisis in Cuba will be held by Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez (FL-28) and Cuban exiles.

The event, scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. will take place at the Miami International Airport Consular Lounge (Terminal F, Door 14). Media personnel are requested to arrive by 11:30 A.M. for the conference.

Among the key figures participating in the press conference are Rep. Carlos Gimenez, Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, Cuban Opposition Leader Rosa María Payá, and various Cuban Exile Leaders.

Congressman Carlos Gimenez, the only Cuban-born Member of Congress, fled the island with his family following the communist takeover. Representing Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys, he holds significant positions within the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, the Armed Services Committee, and the Select Committee on China.
