Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 27th district, recently shared her views on social media regarding President Trump's initial actions upon taking office and the appointment of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. Her posts reflect support for the new administration's policies and appointments.

On January 20, 2025, Rep. Salazar expressed her support for President Trump's executive orders initiated on his first day in office. She stated, "Promises made, promises kept! The American people voted to defend our borders, keep our children safe, and unleash American energy." She further emphasized the unity within the House GOP in backing President Trump.

In a similar post on the same day, Rep. Salazar reiterated her message in Spanish: "¡Promesas hechas, promesas cumplidas! El pueblo votó para defender nuestra frontera, mantener a nuestros niños a salvo y liberar nuestra energía." She confirmed that congressional Republicans are supporting President Trump's executive actions from day one.

Later that evening on January 21, 2025, Rep. Salazar congratulated Marco Rubio on his appointment as Secretary of State. She remarked, "Congratulations, Secretary of State Marco Rubio! I can think of no one better to lead an America First foreign policy at the @StateDept." She expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with him to advance interests in the Western Hemisphere and noted Miami's pride in this appointment.
