Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a U.S. Congress member representing Florida's 27th district, has been vocal on social media regarding current political events in Latin America and U.S. immigration policies. Through her recent tweets, she expressed strong opinions on the actions of former President Trump and Honduran President Xiomara Castro.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Salazar commented on former President Trump's deportation policy: "¡COMETES EL CRIMEN, PAGAS LA CONDENA! She emphasized the need for deporting criminals from the United States.

She criticized the focus of the meeting as "deplorable."

On January 29, 2025, Rep. She noted that regional leaders were aware of changes in leadership dynamics.
