Town of Cutler Bay issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
A Message from Miami-Dade County Solid Waste Management (DSWM) Regarding Trash Pick-Up:
DSWM waste collection crews are working hard to collect all waste placed at the curbside today, Tuesday, December 28th, however, DSWM is experiencing higher than normal employee absences due to the recent rapid spread of COVID. As a result, the DSWM may not be able to complete all Tuesday routes by the end of the day.
As a remedy, DSWM will collect any incomplete Tuesday routes tomorrow, Wednesday, December 29th. Residents whose waste is not collected by nightfall today are asked to leave their green waste cart at the curb so that Solid Waste Management crews can collect it tomorrow.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate our residents’ patience as we continue to work to serve our community despite the disruptions caused by the pandemic.
