City Of Everglades issued the following announcement on Mar. 15
St. Paul's Church is hosting a Second Chance Job Fair on March 24, 2022, from 11 am - 2 pm.
The Second Chance Job Fair gives those who are not achieving their full potential an opportunity to change. As one can imagine, the increase in earnings can result in significant improvements in the standard of living.
In addition, it allows participants to discuss prior convictions and employment skills directly with a potential employer. It provides them the opportunity to become more than their conviction and more than another application on the hiring manager's desk.
Also, the job fair connects employers with job seekers, many of who are underemployed working two or three jobs trying to make ends meet. The job fair gives them hopefulness to get a better-paying job, so they no longer have to work 97 hours a week to afford a two-bedroom apartment.
