City Of Homestead issued the following announcement on Apr. 26.
THIS SATURDAY: Do your part to Keep Homestead Beautiful by joining the City of Homestead in a city-wide cleanup effort. Keep Homestead Beautiful Day is happening on Saturday, April 30th, and encourages residents to organize a cleanup in their own neighborhood by recruiting neighbors, family, and friends to help pick up litter and debris.
Residents can also join the City of Homestead, along with Code Compliance and Community Policing at the Homestead Police Headquarters, located at 45 NW 1st Avenue, Homestead, FL 33030, starting at 9am. The City of Homestead and volunteers will work together to clean up the surrounding areas by picking up litter and debris.
Keep Homestead Beautiful Day is part of the City of Homestead’s ongoing Keep Homestead Beautiful initiative that encourages residents and visitors alike to take care of our community by picking up litter, cleaning graffiti, recycling, and planting native trees and plants. The cleanup also represents the culmination of an effort to reduce illegal dumping through education and enforcement. The City of Homestead asks all residents to report illegal dumping violations to Code Compliance at 305-224-5580 and Homestead Police at 305-247-1535.
