WASHINGTON, D.C. - In a strong show of support for Israel, Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez, Representative of Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys, has unequivocally condemned the recent violent and unprovoked terrorist attacks carried out by extremist organization Hamas. Speaking as a Member of the Armed Services Committee, Rep. Gimenez expressed solidarity with Israel's right to defend itself against this terrorist invasion.
"As the proud Representative of Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys and as a Member of the Armed Services Committee, I unequivocally condemn the violent, unprovoked terrorist attacks against our dear friend and ally Israel," stated Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez. "America stands with the Jewish State of Israel and its right to defend itself from Hamas' violent and terrorist invasion."
Congressman Carlos Giménez, the only Cuban-born member of the 118th Congress, fled his homeland shortly after the Communist takeover of the island. Apart from representing Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys, he also serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the Homeland Security Committee, and the Select Committee on China.
