Rep. María Elvira Salazar, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district since 2021, recently shared a series of statements via social media expressing her views on various political matters. Salazar, known for her staunch opposition to socialism, conveyed her perspectives through a sequence of tweets posted on March 31, 2025.

In her first tweet, Salazar remarked on the consequences of socialism, stating, "Socialism only leads to MISERY and DEATH. We're shoving this FAILED ideology into the dustbin of history. That’s why I’ll never stop FIGHTING for those escaping the nightmare of socialism around the world." The congresswoman's objection to socialism is a recurrent theme in her political discourse.

Salazar reiterated her message in Spanish shortly thereafter. She stated, "El socialismo solo deja MISERIA, represión y MUERTE. Es una ideología fracasada que merece estar en el basurero de la historia. Por eso no descansaré jamás en defender a quienes huyen de esa pesadilla alrededor del mundo." This post mirrors her previous statement, underlining the same sentiment in a different language.

Later in the day, Salazar addressed the issue of violent gang activities. She wrote, "Violent gang members like Tren de Aragua should be dealt with in the harshest terms. Thanks to allies like @nayibbukele, we are locking these thugs up where they belong!" This comment highlights her firm stance on crime and appreciation for cooperation with international allies in addressing gang violence.
