Rep. María Elvira Salazar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 27th district, recently communicated messages centered around Easter and legislative involvement through social media platform X. These posts, shared over two days, reflect both her religious sentiments and her commitment to legislative duties.

On April 20, Salazar shared a religious message with her followers, extending Easter wishes by quoting a biblical passage. She wrote, "May God's everlasting love be with you and your family this Easter. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Matthew 28:6". This message welcomed the festival of Easter by invoking Christian scripture.

In a subsequent post on the same day, Salazar shared her Easter message in Spanish. The tweet read, "Que el amor eterno de Dios esté contigo y tu familia en esta Pascua. Él no está aquí, pues ha resucitado, tal como dijo. Mateo 28:6". This was aimed at her Spanish-speaking constituents, reiterating the same biblical honor to the Easter celebration.

On April 21, Rep. Salazar detailed her participation in the introduction of the Religious Workforce Protection Act. As she mentioned, "Last week, I helped introduce the Religious Workforce Protection Act. This bill ensures religious workers from around the world can continue delivering vital faith services in communities across America." This legislative initiative underlines her focus on protecting the rights and roles of religious workers in the United States.

María Elvira Salazar has been a member of the U.S. Congress for the 27th District of Florida since 2021, after replacing Donna Shalala. Born in Miami in 1961, Salazar has a background in public service, previously serving in the Florida House of Representatives and has a degree from the University of Miami.
