Rep. María Elvira Salazar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Florida’s 27th district, has engaged with issues of economic development and environmental awareness in her recent communications via social media.

On the same day, she reiterated her intentions in English, sharing, "Last week, I had the chance to show @SecretaryLCD the Port of Miami and Downtown Miami. We’re working on ways to create good jobs across America, boost investment, and open more pathways to the American Dream." This reflects Salazar's focus on job creation and investment stimulation at a national level.

Later that day, Salazar celebrated Earth Day with a nod to Miami's natural features. She tweeted, "With sunny beaches and the beautiful Biscayne Bay, there’s no better place to celebrate the great outdoors. Happy Earth Day from Miami! " highlighting the environmental beauty of her district.

Salazar, born in Miami in 1961, has served her district in the U.S. Congress since 2021 and has prior experience in the Florida House of Representatives. A University of Miami graduate, she replaced Donna Shalala in her current Congressional role.
