Rep. María Elvira Salazar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 27th district, has expressed strong opinions on various issues in her recent tweets. Her commentary includes a focus on international crime, gratitude towards allies, and dedication to freeing detained Americans abroad.

In a tweet posted on March 31, 2025, Salazar addressed the issue of violent gang members from the "Tren de Aragua." She emphasized the necessity of severe punishment, stating "Los pandilleros violentos del Tren de Aragua deben ser castigados con la mayor severidad. Gracias a aliados como @nayibbukele, ¡estamos encerrando a estos matones donde deben estar!"

Later that same day, Salazar tweeted to welcome back an American citizen, presumably returned from detention in Afghanistan. Expressing gratitude to Secretary Rubio, she wrote "Welcome home, Faye! and thanked Rubio for "tireless efforts," underscoring her commitment to freeing all detained Americans abroad.

Shortly after in a similar sentiment, Salazar conveyed the same message in Spanish, extending the welcome home to Faye. She reiterated her appreciation towards Secretary Rubio for his relentless work, stating "¡Bienvenida a casa, Faye!" reinforcing her determination not to rest until every detained American is free.
